World Expo '88 Brisbane Australia

The World Expo '88 Brisbane stamp series, issued on April 30, 1988, represents Indonesia's philatelic participation in the world exposition held in Australia. The design highlights the richness of Indonesian performing arts as a national identity on the international stage, featuring the Pendet Dance from Bali, the Seudati Dance from Aceh, and the Batak Toba Dance from North Sumatra. Technically, these stamps were produced using offset-lithography on unwatermarked paper in a horizontal format measuring 32.0 x 24.0 mm. Featuring a 12½ perforation gauge, the set consists of three denominations: Rp200, Rp300, and Rp350. This Mint condition collection (unused) serves as a documentation of Indonesia's cultural diplomacy through the medium of stamps in the late 1980s.
